In Identity V, players are ranked according to how many points they’ve won through ranked matches, which are designated by Tiers.
Each Tier is designated by a different Animal or Chess piece (in the case of 5v5 rank matches).

All players who have reached Tier VII will no longer be restricted by Division Tiers and will only be ranked based on the number of stars they have. Players who have obtained 25 stars in Tier VII will level up to Peak Tier VII, and the number of stars they have will continue to accumulate.
As for points, players in Tier I to Tier III will still gain 20 points per star; those in Tier IV will now gain 20 points per star instead of 30 points per star; those in Tier V or above will now gain 30 points per star. Players who have reached Tier VII and Peak Tier VII (Tier VIII) will receive Rank Treasures of a higher level. They will also be awarded more Fragments at the end of the Season.
Legendary Match
Character Ban Mode
When the highest-ranking Survivor on the team is at Tier III or Tier IV, the character ban/pick feature will be activated, and both factions will be able to ban one character for their opposing sides. Players at Tier V and Tier VI will be able to ban 1 Hunter and 2 Survivors. At Tier VII and above, both factions can ban two characters (Survivors vote to ban, with three votes needed to ban a Hunter character. If no Hunter receives 3 votes, a random Hunter will be chosen from those selected and banned).
Area Selection Mode
When a Peak Tier VII Survivor is present in the match, Area Selection mode will be activated. Once Survivors have selected their characters, Survivors will select their spawn area before the Hunter. The game starts after the final confirmation phase. When selecting an area, the Hunter will only know if an area has been selected by a Survivor and nothing more. However, the Hunter will acquire additional information and locations of the Survivors during the final confirmation phase. Survivors will only receive information on the Hunter’s selected spawn area during the final confirmation phase.
There are Rank Matching Adjustments: When there is a relatively large gap among teammates’ tiers in a team for matching, the team’s strength will tip toward the Survivors of higher tiers and the team will be matched with opponents of higher tiers.
At the end of each Season, players will be given an overview of how well they did, and they will drop down a bit in rank to refresh for the new Season. Depending on the rank reached, they will also be awarded a certain amount of Fragments.
